Hey there, lovely! Remember me?
It’s Elizabeth here–you know, the girl who used to keep up with her blog? Here’s a picture in case you’ve forgotten.
Which I wouldn’t blame you for because–Wow, has it been a long time since I dusted off the ol’ keyboard!!
>>What Have I Been Up to?
Glad you asked. A LOT!! If you’ve been keeping up with me on Instagram or Twitter, you probably know right that after Baby E was born, we packed up and shipped ourselves, the dog, and everything we owned across the ocean and the continent to Fort Drum, New York.
Yes, in answer to your question, it’s been a pretty big adjustment for us. I mean, you couldn’t get more opposite from sunny Hawaii than upstate New York. I’ve seen more snow here in the past few months than I did in my entire childhood and I’m fairly certain that I’m just not meant for a cold climate.
Also did I mention I’m a mom to the cutest little 6-month old you ever saw?
Nowadays it seems like my life revolves around diaper changes, naptime strikes and baby giggles but this sweet little bundle is totally worth it.
I honestly can’t believe my tiny little baby is growing up so fast. I never believed other people when they said childhood flies but oh man, do I believe it now! As of her last doctor’s appointment, E weights 16 pounds (double her birth weight) and measures 27 inches (+ 6 inches) and is pretty much the happiest, most easy-going baby I’ve ever seen.
Her favorite things right now are her teething keys, a mini Belle doll, and the dog–Duke. Thankfully, the pup seems to love her too and watching them interact is just the sweetest thing ever.
Ok, ok, enough baby stuff.
>>What You Can Expect
I’m running full speed ahead into blogging again with posts set to go up 3 times a week. I’ll also be updating my printable library (which you can see by subscribing to my monthly newsletter) every month with 1-2 new printables ranging from date night prompts to organizational worksheets.
I’m really looking forward to everything I have in store for Our Darling Adventure in the coming months and I hope you are too. So go ahead and take a look around the new site–I’m excited you’re here!
