It’s that time again, y’all. I can’t believe we’re talking about Month SEVEN today!!!!
All About Month Six
Due Date: September 9, 2016 (currently 27 weeks and counting)
Gender: Still a Baby Girl!!
Name: Baby E or Baby Girl Fishy here on the blog
Doctor’s Appointments: Another appointment and the dreaded glucose test are in the books this month. Baby’s heartbeat is steadily around the 150s and everything is still looking good. I haven’t gotten the results of my 1-hour glucose test yet (I’ll be getting that by the end of the week) but I’m crossing my fingers and toes that I passed.
Little Mover: I mentioned in my Month 5 Update that Baby was becoming super active and that’s definitely continued this month! Even better, hubby was finally able to feel her kick a few weeks ago which was adorable. The pup has even got in on the action once or twice–he has always loved laying his head on my tummy when we’re sitting on the couch together so he was a little startled the first time Baby kicked him in the head!!! I swear he stared at my stomach for a good 10 seconds, head cocked to the side with a “What the heck just happened” look on his face before he settled back down for the rest of his nap. It was adorable and I wish I’d gotten a video of it.
How I’m Feeling: A little tired and, to be honest, a little anxious as Baby’s Due Date is rapidly approaching. As far as cravings go, I’m still ravenously hungry for all things meat and carb-related, but I’ve also started really craving cheese. Which is really unusual for me because normally I hate cheese (not even joking, I specially order cheeseless pizza–yes I know I’m weird). Zach is extremely happy that apparently Baby has not inherited my weird cheese aversion and has an appetite just like her daddy.
I’ve also started not fitting into my pre-pregnancy shirts but (thanks to everyone who gave me suggestions in my currently post) have a few maternity replacements on their way.
What I’m Most Looking Forward to in Month Six:
- Starting on the quilt/baby blanket I’m making for Baby E’s nursery. We’ll be moving so soon after her birth that we’re skipping the nursery decorations for now but I’m excited to get as many things ready for her room in New York as I possibly can.
- Celebrating Zach’s and my fourth anniversary this July!!! And also our last Fourth of July on Hawaii!
- Buying the necessities like cloth diapers, the stroller, and car seat. PS–any advice on these would be greatly appreciated!!
