This is the month, you guys–we’ve entered the final stretch!! I may or may not want to shout it from the rooftops (although I won’t because you know, OPSEC). April was a bit of a weird month for me so I’m really hoping May goes by faster and smoother. But, anyway, on to a few happenings from April.
+ First off, huge news on the career front for Zach! He passed the E-6 board and is officially a school away from Staff Sergeant. We spent the last few weeks of March studying non-stop and I’m so proud of my handsome hubby for doing an amazing job!
+ April was a very weird month in Fort Drum weather. We had an ice storm that turned my entire yard into a skating rink.
+ I started the #GlowBody PT 21-day workout program this month and I’m excited to keep it going in May. For more info, check out Ashley’s site.
+ April was a really good month for my memory keeping projects. I started a crafty blog, hit 500 followers on my Youtube channel, and joined a creative team (similar to sponsored posts but for craftiness).
+ I’ve decided to take advantage of the last few months of having the remote to myself and re-watch all my childhood favorites. I started by watching Anne of Green Gables and surprised myself by still being able to quote 75% of it from memory. Next up some vintage musicals.
+ This past week we finally managed to kick the cold weather. I hope. We’ve had 65-degree weather for a few days and I’m crossing all my fingers that the temps will continue to climb.
+ This month the kiddo and I tried out two new meal subscription boxes that I’m excited to review on the blog in May! One of them is specifically for little ones so if you have kiddos, definitely don’t miss it!
+ This was another month of no reading for me. If you’ve read any riveting books lately, I’d love to hear about them. Maybe a good book will jumpstart my reading habits.
+ I started the 100 Day Project on April 3rd and have been recording one second of our days using the 1Second Everyday app. I’m loving documenting these little snippets and I’m excited to see the result after 100 days!
Goals for May
- Post at least once a week on Our Darling Adventure and twice weekly on my crafty Youtube channel.
- Clean the house from top to bottom (because, as it turns out, I’m totally the messy one in this marriage)
- Workout every day with Glow Body
- Make it until Zach’s homecoming date!
Thanks for chatting with me! What did you do in March?
